We at Boyd's Bullies have one resident male in the making. His name is Chance and he started it all Christmas of 2005. He was just 6 weeks old and full of the BULLDOG that we would soon realize was not just a dog or pet, but a complex protective, loving, wonderful being. So here we are now passing this on with our puppies. Chance has excellent health and temperament. Chance was chosen by my nephew because he was almost solid white without ticking. We researched his background and breeder before even considering him. Chance has an extremely heavy neck and flat face. He is also very athletic. He does not have the breathing problems of some of the Bulldogs we have known. I think health and temperament are the most important qualities in a Bulldog. Our breeding program is based on the betterment of the breed. We couldn't have been more pleased with any other boy than we are Chance. Chance had his first litter born December 4, 2007. They were all GIRLS - what a dog. As well as he had proven himself to be a self breeder! No more A.I. for us! (WHEW) Check back often and see how he grows! In the mean time, we have selected a Champion Bloodline male from all the way in Mt. View Missouri. This guy is Hercules, the white and red male you see on all the puppy pages. Hercules is 10 years old and growing, but don't let his age fool you. He is still a self breeder and has produced up to 8 puppies a litter and some very athletic smooshed faced babies. We chose Herc due to his amazing health at his age. He does lots of tricks, plays dead, sits, jumps on the hood of a car. Yes, he is so athletic that he actually can climb a car or jump into the back of a truck. I was amazed with Hercules wen I met him 5 years ago. Herc was the deciding factor in buying Chance. It only seemed fit we use him for our puppies. Hercules has only fathered litters for Boyd's Bullies and no other puppies can be found from him, except at Boyd's Bullies. Those of you who know Bulldogs, understand how amazing it is to have a 10 year old still healthy, no ear, eye, hip, or health issues that is self breeding at that age. To be any age Bulldog and self breed is a task on its own. We believe in our dogs and you will too! |

| This is Chance, our resident male. The pictures are current as of May 23, 2007 and were taken while at the river. That is where Chance prefers to take his baths. He is just now a year and a half old. He has a lot of growing and filling out to do, but when he gets there he is going to be quite the bully. Check the fun family photos link, located at the bottom of the bulldog page for a few more snap shots of him interacting with the family and others. We believe all dogs are pets before anything else and hope to breed bulldogs like Chance that can interact with the daily activities of the modern active families. We could not imagine having any bulldog that was not healthy enough to camp and travel with us. He has a lot of wrinkle to grow into, but for a young man we are very proud of him! |
| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chance is a new dad and he has proven himself as a self breeder. We could not be more proud of him. His first four puppies were all girls with the swoosh tails and very wrinkled faces. The vet said his pups have been the nicest and healthiest they have seen in a long time. We are blessed to have him and can not wait to see his next puppies! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

| This is Hercules. He was very hard to photograph, as the only time we see him is when we have one of his girlfriends there. So he is always looking at them and not the camera. Hard to believe the guy is 10 years old already! |
